Richard J. Conte, Esq.

Richard J. Conte is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, class of 1993, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in History and Economics. He graduated from Quinnipiac College School of Law in 1996 where he was an academic invitee to the Connecticut Probate Law Journal. In 1996, Mr. Conte was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and to the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, and to the New York Bar. He served as the Law Clerk for the Honorable Carmen A. Ferrante, P.J.S.C. from 1996-1997.

Mr. Conte was elected as a Councilman for the Borough of Paramus in 2004, and re-elected in 2007. He was a member of the Borough of Paramus Planning Board (2004) and he has acted as the Borough of Paramus Council liaison to the Paramus Planning Board, Building Department, and Board of Health.

Mr. Conte served as the Municipal Judge for the Borough of Oradell (2016-2022) and the Municipal Judge for the Borough of Paramus (2010-2022), as well as Municipal Prosecutor for the Boroughs of Paramus, Bogota and Hasbrouck Heights.

Mr. Conte has over 27 years of real estate, estate planning and business law experience. He regularly consults with realtors, title insurers, mortgage brokers and bankers, financial and estate planners, regarding new and emerging trends in the real estate market. Mr. Conte frequently hosts real estate and business seminars and has appeared as keynote speaker discussing real estate related topics such as: First Time Home Buyers; Navigating Home Inspections; Understanding The Closing Process and TRID Guidelines; The Closing Disclosure Statement; and Recent Developments in Residential and Commercial Real Estate Law. He has been featured in (201) Magazine and selected as one of Bergen County's top real estate lawyers.
